Testimonials

Julie Sandson (K-9 to 5) has been a pet sitter, dog walker and caretaker to our Bernese Mountain Dog Emma Bean since we adopted her as a puppy in June of 2005. Julie walks and feeds Emma daily during the work week and cares for Emma when we are out of town. Julie is always reliable and punctual and very care taking of both Emma’s physical and emotional needs and attentive to her health issues. She always leaves us a note outlining the important details of every session with Emma.
In addition, Julie has come to our aid during emergency medical situations, making unscheduled ‘on the spot’ visits to our home, to take Emma’s temperature when we were worried about her panting and lethargy;  to teach us how to administer eye medication; and to coax her down from our 3rd floor when she was limping very badly on her hind legs and refused to walk for us....but Emma very enthusiastically limped right downstairs at the sound of Julie’s voice upon her arrival! Julie has also made time in her schedule whenever we needed her to take Emma for emergency vet visits. We have depended upon Julie for minor post-operative and preventative care for Emma and we entrust her with Emma’s regular ear cleaning, nail clipping and bathing regimen.
We are really most impressed with the joyful displays of enthusiastic affection that Emma always directs toward Julie regardless of the circumstances or location. There is no denying that Emma feels truly bonded to Julie and is obviously consistently delighted to see her and the feeling appears to be mutual. Much to my pleasure and peace of mind.
I endorse the excellent services of Julie Sandson and K-9 to 5 without reservation.

We have been using Julie Sandson at K925 since we adopted our Pug puppy, Jasmine, in July of 2005 -- in fact, Julie accompanied us to the breeder, helping us to select the ideal pet who would most enhance our lives. From the first, we have employed Julie for regular obedience training, walking, sitting and play sessions. Julie has always been reliable and punctual, and she always leaves us a note, reflecting her interactions with Jasmine. In addition, Julie has come to our aid during emergency vet visits and post-operative care (spaying, etc.), as well as administering medications when indicated. She has also taken our dog into her home when we are out of town.

Jasmine is always delighted to see Julie, and she readily leaves with her when going to her home, much to our pleasure. Julie has taken Jasmine for special obedience classes where she has received her Canine Good Citizenship certification. We regularly take Jasmine shopping with us and, wherever we go, people comment on her good manners and obedience, as well as her amazingly friendly and outgoing personality, much of which we attribute to Julie's influence.

We wholeheartedly endorse the excellent services of Julie Sandson and K925.

Julie has been our pet sitter for two years to our boxer Tugger. She has been exceptional in her work with our dog. We originally hired Julie to simply walk Tugger during the lunch hour while we are at work. Over the past year we have seen improvements in Tugger’s behavior which we believe are a direct result of the training he gets simply from walking with Julie each day.

While we describe Julie as a pet sitter, I believe that she is much more than that for our family. Recently, we found a tumor on Tugger which was removed and he is healthy. Upon bringing Tugger home from his surgery, the vet provided me with an e-collar for him. I put it on Tugger and he immediately shut down. He put his head down and didn’t move for almost an hour since he didn’t like it all. I had to leave for work the next day and couldn’t leave him like that. Panicked, I called Julie to see what she recommended I do and how could I leave him like this?

Julie informed me that she was in the neighborhood and would come by to help me out. She came to the house, cut down the plastic e-collar, inserted a soft collar around the plastic and showed me how to put the collar on and take it off. Tugger was finally able to tolerate the collar and loved the treat that Julie brought him. This went above and beyond the duty of “pet sitter”.

I often come home from work to find that Julie has left a little treat in the pantry for Tugger. Her detailed notes about what she and Tugger did on their walk always make me feel like she genuinely cares for our dog. She has always gone above and beyond a “dog walker”. She watches his health, his coat, and his behavior and offers excellent advice. It is easy to reach her, even with an emergency. She returns our calls promptly.
Julie will always try to find a way to work our dog into her schedule, even on her busiest days, when I know she probably can’t add even one more walk, she will find a way to even come by and walk him quickly instead of telling us “no, I can’t do it”.

We can recommend Julie Sandson without reservation. Her knowledge of canine behavior and health is something we have never seen with typical “dog walkers”. She is exceptional in her work and for that our family is very grateful for her.

I am a dog lover and a busy one at that.  Julie and K925 have become virtual members of our family supporting the care of our two Cairn terriers and one Schnauzer mix with as much care, love and initiative as if they were her own.  More than just walking, feeding or administering medicine (Xena, our oldest is a diabetic) Julie goes above and beyond what you might expect.  Eyes wide open, she seems to seek out opportunities to enhance our dogs environment, comfort and the "just so" environment in which we keep our home.  Our dogs  have come to expect Julie's reliable companionship and playdates when their "parents" are doing what their very busy life demands.  I believe we have used the full compliment of her services, from dog walking, dog courier (to the vet), nail clipping, and administering insulin.  She even wipes the dogs paws as we ask when they return to the house.

Julie has a key to our house, and I trust her implicitly in our home.  Her log book is thorough, keeping me informed of the activities of the day, and when I return knowing she has been in the house, no question remains unanswered.  When I needed to ask questions about the dog care, as I had when we weren't sure if the dog got her insulin, Julie confirmed with her veterinary expert and then advised me.  I can travel and leave the house with great peace of mind knowing that my home and my animals are getting the same level of care they receive when we are there.

The responsiveness and affection with which Julie delivers this high level of care works  both for our animals and for my standards.  I highly recommend Julie to those she touts as providing exceptional care to meticulously loved pets and their discerning owners.

I have had the exceptional fortune of doing business with K925 for close to a year now.  Julie first cared for my youthful, but aging dog Angel.  Angel had been abused as a puppy and was very cautious with people she did not know.  Julie was patient and understanding and, in not much time, formed a very meaningful relationship with Angel.  I was amazed at how genuine Angel’s affection for Julie became.  And then, after Angel suddenly died, I adopted 2 dogs, one which was pregnant, and quickly had 4 puppies to care for as well. Julie has been instrumental in helping me not only manage and train my new shelter dogs but the pups as well. She is reliable and trustworthy and, most importantly, very knowledgeable about dogs and loves being around them.  I have a busy work schedule and am so grateful for Julie’s attentive care…I know it has made a difference in the lives of my dogs and certainly has made a difference in mine.

Way more than a pet sitter; Julie is dog's (and cat's) best friend! We were gone for ten days and Julie cared for our dogs and cat three times a day. I called her the second day just to make sure everything was going well and I was so amazed and impressed by her. In just that small amount of time she knew our dogs and cat so well. She understood the dynamic and needs of our gang as if they were her own. Julie really stole my heart when our heat went out about half way through our vacation and she took care of it without hesitation. There was no back and forth with us. Julie even waited at our house for several hours while the furnace was being fixed. Each visit Julie took meticulous notes on how things were going. From those notes it was very apparent that she had a great relationship with our dogs and cat. When we got home from our very long trip, the dogs were so calm and were obviously well taken care of. Our dogs are normally insane when we get home even if it is just a few hours but after spending ten days with Julie (the dog whisperer) they were so content that I don't even know if they missed us at all. Julie is so wonderful and she loves what she does so much that she just can't help but do a fantastic, over the top job. We are so lucky to have found her and so are our happy pups. Thanks so much.
